After School Transportation (Delanie Schaepe)

After School Transportation

Idea Generation
It is really a burden when you are at work or busy and cannot transport your child where he or she needs to go. This is a transportation system where a van can take your child to his or her proper destination, and you don’t even have to miss or leave work early. It will be before, during and after school that transportation can be provided, safely as well.

Concept Developing and Testing
The van will be able to transport a child or any age that can attend school to his or her activities or destinations. The van can bring a sick child home to a parent who may not be able to drive. It can also bring them to after school activities such as hobbies, sports events, or daycares. This product is very beneficial to single parents, parents with disabilities, or two full time working parents. This product would be carefully tested at a small local school with extra supervision for precautionary reasons.

Market Strategy Development
Target Market- My target market would be single parents, Parents with disabilities, two full time working parents, or parents with more than three children who are involved with extra activities.

Price- The prices will vary but will be affordable. There will be weekly fees. The fees will be $30 a week for round trip within 10 miles per child. Discounts will be appointed for families with more than two children.

Distribution- This service will be provided at local public schools.

Business Analysis
Our goal is to help out with extra traffic after school or during. We want to make sure these children get to their destinations on time and safely. Our service will be very affordable due to tight budgets today.

Product Development
A van will be provided for one school. We will have a team of two professional drivers that will be certified to drive a van for children. This service will be tested for one school year in order to see how much it will help parents. The product will be tested by parents and children as well as school.

Test Marketing
After being tested at one local school this service is planned to move nationwide to school all over the states. Eventually we hope to provide for public schools, private schools, preschools, and daycares.

Commercialization
This service will be advertised over the internet as well as school flyers and letters sent home to the parents of our market. The next step of advertisement would be a billboard and a up to date website that parents will be able to check rates, discounts, and services that will be offered, as well as hours of operations. There will also be a section where parents can leave feedback so that new parents can determine also if they would like to use this service.
